How to Connect a Custom Domain to Flowlance Store

Connecting your Flowlance Store to a custom domain is a great option if you want your link to match your personal brand even more closely. Your default Flowlance link already looks clean and professional - but using your own domain gives you that extra layer of branding and recognition. It’s a nice upgrade for creators who want a fully custom feel.

Connecting a custom domain

1. Click on Settings & My profile at the bottom of the sidebar menu, and choose Settings

2. Enter your domain name into the Custom domain tab and hit Next

3. We'll show you a DNS record you have to add to your domain on the website of your domain provider to connect it with your Flowlance Store. If you're not sure how to go about it, no problem - scroll down a little where we describe this process in detail step-by-step.

4. Your domain is connected! Keep in mind it can take up to 48 hours for the change to take place.

How to add the DNS record to your domain

Adding a DNS record to your domain may sound like a big thing, but it's actually super easy. And no, you don't have to be a tech person to do it.

✅ Step 1: Open Your Domain Provider Settings

Log in to the platform where you bought your domain. Below are links for the most popular providers:

✅ Your provider not listed? No problem. It works the same way everywhere: Go to DNS settings, add the records below, wait a bit, and you’re done.

👇 We’ll walk you through it step-by-step with pictures, using GoDaddy as an example so you can follow along easily (even if you're using a different provider).

Make sure to select the correct domain and open the DNS records settings:

⚠️ Step 2: Remove Old and Conflicting Records

Before adding new records, find and remove any old records of the same Type (A/CNAME) and Name (like @ or store) that point to something else.

  • This won’t break your domain features

  • Just note them down on a piece of paper or file (in case you ever want to restore them)

  • You need a clean state to avoid conflicts

✍️ Step 3: Add The DNS Record

Type

Name

Value

TTL

A

@

34.141.122.131

3600 (1 hour)

These are only values may have changed - please copy your own from your Flowlance account as displayed in the image below

Here’s what each field means:

  • Type: Use A

  • Name: Use value @

  • Value: Copy/paste exactly as shown

  • TTL: Set to 3600 (1 hour) or leave the default

Enter the values from Flowlance and click Save.

✅ Step 4: Confirm It in Flowlance

Once you’ve added the record, go back to Flowlance and click on I've added the record button.

That’s it! Keep in mind that your new domain might not work right away. DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes up to a few hours to fully kick in, so don’t worry if you don’t see it live immediately. It’s totally normal.

💡 Want to Use a Subdomain?

If you want something like store.yourdomain.com instead of yourdomain.com, enter the subdomain name as usual and add the DNS record we'll show you. Instead of A record, it will be a CNAME record. Otherwise, everything else stays the same.
